Records show crime dropped in Pottstown over the last 10 years

POTTSTOWN — In the last 10 years, serious crime in the borough has dropped by more than 30 percent and overall crime has dropped by nearly 24 percent according to an analysis of police records presented to borough council at Monday’s council meeting.

At the same time that crime, and arrests, are dropping the number of “calls for service” has jumped by more than 20 percent, the analysis found.
