Lucy Lennon from Main Street Real Estate Group was granted a certificate of appropriateness for her signage proposal for 446 Main St. during the Historical and Architectural Review Board’s July 8 meeting held at city hall’s Rotunda.
At 16 feet wide and 2 feet high, with metallic gold serif lettering spelling out, “Main Street Real Estate Group” with a matching pinstripe, the matte black aluminum composite sign is to be installed on an existing plywood backing within the storefront sign band.
Vinyl Bethlehem star graphics and lettering that resemble etched glass were approved for the split-panel window and door for the shop on the first floor. With a large Bethlehem star on one of the shop window panes, the other sports “Gallery and Fine Art” in cursive lettering with a smaller star and “Estate Sales * Pop-Up Gifts * Housewares” as well as other related information and website spelled out in a serif font.
