Northampton Township police stopped an e-bike rider on August 16. It happened near Council Rock High School South, the campus at 2002 Rock Way in Holland. The rider was a juvenile. An officer took a name and called a parent.
That was the sixth e-bike stop the department has put on its public log in four weeks. Eight riders have been pulled over since July 19. Every one of them was identified as a juvenile.
The entries turn up in four of the department’s last five weekly reports. Each runs two or three lines, filed in between the alarm calls and the retail thefts. Read in a row, they are the most repeated item the department has posted this summer.
