A township in Northampton County nearly rejected a developer’s offer of $50 million in local incentives in exchange for approval to build a massive data center campus.
Upper Mount Bethel Township supervisors took a vote to reject a memorandum of understanding with Slate Belt Holdings that included the offer. It failed 2-3. A second vote to accept a revised MOU was tabled by a 3-2 vote.
