The Great Allentown Fair closed portions of its grounds to vehicle traffic beginning Wednesday as organizers prepared for the six-day event set to run from Sept. 2 through Sept. 7.
The fair said in an advisory that gates between Liberty and Chew streets, the north and south borders of the fairgrounds, closed at midnight.
Visitors to Ritz Barbecue and those purchasing tickets at the box office should enter through Gate 2 on Chew Street, just west of 17th Street. Parking will remain available through Tuesday…
