ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A Lehigh Valley developer is suing the Allentown Redevelopment Authority over the sale of a former toy factory.
Nat Hyman filed the lawsuit in August. He claims his bid for the former toy factory, now a vacant building, on North 10th Street, was the highest of all offers, but that the redevelopment authority did not consider his offer in good faith and ultimately went with someone else because of bias.
The building used to be the Allentown Toy Manufacturing Company for decades, and closed at the end of 2021. The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Allentown (RACA) purchased the building in 2022 for $400,000. The authority put out a request for proposals (RFP) in early 2026…
