South Whitehall planners hear proposal for new Sheetz

S. WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – The South Whitehall Township Planning Commission reviewed a sketch plan for a convenience store Thursday night at the municipal building.

The applicant, Sheetz Inc., is proposing a 6,139-square-foot facility with motor vehicle fueling stations on two parcels at 731 and 757 Hausman Road. The plan includes an associated parking lot, stormwater management facilities and utility connection. The project site encompasses about 2.1 acres.

Other features included on the sketch plan are a non-drive-thru mobile pickup window at the building’s rear and three access sites. Two of those sites are proposed along Hausman Road, while the third is between the Trivet property and the Sheetz site. Negotiations to modify the access agreement for the third site appropriate to the Sheetz layout are under review with the Trivet. A total of 48 parking spaces are proposed…
