Organizers of Easton’s Winter Village, an annual outdoor vendor event spanning four weekends each winter, announced they were reducing the village’s size and changing vendor-space fees. The change has drawn concerns from some event vendors.
The number of huts will be reduced to 12 structures spread out around downtown Easton from last year’s 40, when they were clustered around Easton’s Centre Square. Vendor fees have increased to $500 per weekend, up from $500 for the entire four-week period.
Julie VanOsdol, the main street manager of the Greater Easton Development Partnership, which runs the Winter Village, attributed these changes to reduced funding and costs of upkeep for huts, some of which “aren’t in great shape.”…
