Contract dispute again threatens health insurance coverage for some LVHN patients; Jefferson will be impacted, too

Another major health insurance company could soon be out-of-network for Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) patients.

LVHN’s parent company, Jefferson Health, is currently locked in a contract dispute with Independence Blue Cross (IBX).

If both sides can’t come to an agreement by the end of the year, Jefferson and LVHN may be out-of-network for people with IBX insurance beginning January 1, 2027…
