(WHTM)– Several Wendy’s locations in Pennsylvania were found to have committed hundreds of child workplace violations, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry.
The Wendy’s restaurants operated by GCWen Management in Bucks, Montgomery and Chester counties committed a total of 766 violations against the Pennsylvania Child Labor Act in 2023, according to the Department of L&I.

The violations are broken down by the Department of L&I in a news release as:
- 432 violations for failing to provide breaks
- Proper breaks were not provided to 81 child workers.
- 18 violations of not securing a work permit
- 18 children did not have proper work permits.
- 98 violations of failure to announce employment or employment change to a school district
- Wendy’s did not notify a school district of the 98 children’s employment status with the number of days required to do so.
- 10 violations of no parent authorization
- The parents of 10 child employees did not give them permission to work.
- 208 violations of excessive hours worked
- Violation for the number of work hours for 34 children.
