Inmate From Bucks County Jail Dies at Doylestown Hospital

DOYLESTOWN, PA—An inmate with the Bucks County Department of Corrections died earlier this month.

The man, who was in his mid-80s, had been an inmate at the Bucks County jail on Easton Road near Almshouse Rod. He was pronounced dead on Jan. 20 at Doylestown Hospital, where he had been for a week.

A press release from the county government said the man died of natural causes. His death is not being investigated.

The Doylestown jail has seen a number of inmate deaths in recent years. Four inmates died at the Bucks County jail last year. Two of them died in December alone.
