CARBON CO., Pa. – Pennsylvania State Police in Lehighton have requested assistance from the Lehigh Township fire department to aid in the search for a missing hiker on the Appalachian Trail. Northampton County Communications officials confirmed the search is in progress on and near Blue Mountain ski area in Palmerton.
