Man pleads guilty in Upper Macungie crash that killed 1, seriously injured another

U. MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. – A man has pleaded guilty in a 2021 crash that left a man dead and a woman seriously injured. John Frederick Fifield, 21, of Breinigsville, pleaded guilty Monday to homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence and aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence, both second-degree felonies; four counts each of recklessly endangering another person, second-degree misdemeanors; and driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance – controlled substance schedule 1, a misdemeanor, according to a news release from the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office.
