Central Bucks Police Officers Commended for Helping a Military Veteran in Crisis

DOYLESTOWN, PA—Three Central Bucks police officers received commendations this week for helping a military veteran suffering from PTSD in War Memorial Field park last month.

At Wednesday night’s Police Commission meeting, Officer Dan Boyle, Corporal Sean Tropiano and Sergeant Jaclyn Riccio received a letter of commendation from the Central Bucks Regional Police Department for helping the veteran. On May 28, the three worked with the veteran’s father, Bucks County Veterans Affairs and a representative from the Travis Manion Foundation to use de-escalation techniques to work with the man, who had completed five tours of duty.
