Coca-Cola Park to host ‘Illumination!’ holiday lights event

Coca-Cola Park will be decked out with more than a million holiday lights during the IronPigs off-season later this year.

The IronPigs organization announced in a news release Wednesday that the park will become home to “Illumination!,” a walk-through holiday lights display between November and January.

In addition to viewing the lights, guests will be able to make s’mores at fire pits, get special holiday food and have winter cocktails at the park, according to the release. There will be themed nights, including ugly sweater night, pajama party night, Hawaiian Christmas night and “Let it Snow” night, when snow machines will be at the park.

The park will also have on-field heat igloos and heated indoor suites. Carolers will also be there on specific nights. There will be a synchronized light show at the park every 15 to 20 minutes.

“We’re transforming Coca-Cola Park into a winter wonderland filled with activities for guests of all ages,” IronPigs President and General Manager Kurt Landes said in the release. “It’s going to feel like Coca-Cola Park became the set of a Hallmark holiday movie.”
