Puppies dumped in trash can in Pa. had to be euthanized: police

Two puppies found tossed into a trash receptacle outside a Wilson fast-food restaurant this week had to be euthanized, the Northampton County borough’s police chief said. Chief Chris Meehan said the dogs were found Tuesday morning outside Wendy’s along Wood Avenue. A woman walking by heard crying and discovered the animals in the trash, Meehan said. The puppies were believed by police to be smaller mixed-breeds and about 16 weeks old.
