“Bringing Smiles, One Dog at a Time”: Oscar Mayer Wienermobile Makes a Stop in Phillipsburg to Visit 7-Year-Old Battling Cancer

Phillipsburg, NJ — In a moment that truly cut the mustard on a hot dog-perfect day, the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile rolled into town for a surprise visit on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Its special mission? To meet one top dog fan, seven-year-old Jaxson Rand, who is bravely battling DIPG, a rare pediatric brain cancer.

Known for his love of hot dogs , Jaxson, as well as everyone arriving was all smiles when the iconic Wienermobile arrived in town. After a stop less than a mile down the road at the Greenwich ShopRite, the hotdoggers in charge were smiling almost as much as Jaxson and his family.

At the start of the evening event, this visit wasn’t just about the Wienermobile in town—it was about celebrating life and young Jaxson, whose passion for hot dogs has inspired the creation of Dogs for DIPG , a charity established in his honor. Their slogan, “Relish the Flavor, Savor the Hope, & Bite into a Cure,” captures the heart of Jaxson’s campaign to raise awareness and funds for DIPG research.
