Police Arrest Two Teenagers for Stealing Two Cars in Last Week

NEW BRITAIN TOWNSHIP, PA—New Britain Township police arrested two teenagers they said were responsible for stealing at least two cars in the last week.

On Oct. 20 at about 6:25 a.m., police were sent to two different addresses on Holly Drive to investigate an attempted vehicle theft and a vehicle theft in progress. While officers arrived within three minutes of receiving the call, the suspects had left with a stolen Volkswagen Atlas by the time they arrived at the scene.

The police reviewed Ring camera footage that showed one of the suspects trying to break into two vehicles in the driveway of a second residence, but he gave up when he discovered that both vehicles were locked. The video also showed a white Subaru, possibly a Crosstrek, driving slowly in front of the house as it followed the suspect, who was moving on foot.

The police asked the owner of the missing Volkswagen to call the company’s customer service to try to track the vehicle. The officers also checked the area for the Volkswagen and the Subaru. That’s when they found the Subaru in the parking lot of the Giant on County Line Road.
