NORRISTOWN — A 19-year-old Hatfield man is headed to prison on drug and weapons charges after an investigation of vehicle break-ins that occurred in the township.
Jason Jayshawn Smith, of the 2000 block of Maple Avenue, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 2 to 4 years in a state correctional institution after he pleaded guilty to charges of possessing a firearm with an altered serial number, receiving stolen property and possession with intent to deliver marijuana in connection with incidents that occurred in January 2024.
Judge Thomas M. DelRicci, who imposed the sentence as part of a plea agreement, also ordered Smith to complete three years’ probation consecutive to parole, meaning Smith will be under court supervision for seven years…
