Eat, Sip, Shop: Hit smash burger concept beefing up footprint with 1st Lehigh Valley spot

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A fast-growing restaurant, with multiple locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, is planning to bring its halal smash burgers, ribeye cheesesteaks and Nashville hot chicken sandwiches to its first Lehigh Valley eatery later this spring.

Cousin’s Burger, serving halal smash burgers, ribeye cheesesteaks, loaded fries and more, is planning to open a location in mid-April at 44 N. Eighth St. in Allentown, owner Shah Contractor said.

Contractor, of Collegeville, over the past year has grown Cousin’s from a single restaurant on Poplar Street in Philadelphia’s Fairmount neighborhood to five Cousin’s locations, with additional outposts operating on South Street in Philadelphia; on Bridge Street in Phoenixville, Chester County; at the Exton Square Mall in West Whiteland Township, Chester County; and on Route 130 in Cinnaminson Township, N.J.
