Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – Diane Scott was a mother, a student, a community figure, and a devoted member of Bethel Temple Church when she vanished without a trace in May 2001. More than two decades later, her disappearance remains unsolved.
Diane’s life was marked by early tragedy. At just six years old, she lost both of her parents within a two-month span. Along with her sister, she was raised by an aunt and uncle. As an adult, Diane married, had children, later separated from her husband, and, in 2001, had recently enrolled in cosmetology school. Known throughout the Harrisburg community, she was actively involved in civic life and deeply committed to her church, according to the Charley Project.
According to investigators in Dauphin County, on the morning of May 5, 2001, 39-year-old Diane left her home on the 2600 block of Jefferson Avenue in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She dropped one of her children off at school and was expected to return that afternoon to pick them up. However, Diane never returned, and concern grew rapidly when she failed to pick up her daughter. She was officially reported missing on May 24, 2001.…
