Report of suspicious package prompts police response at Bethlehem parking garage; package deemed not to be a threat

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Police in Bethlehem are investigating after the city bomb squad looked into a report of a suspicious package at a parking garage that turned out not to be a threat.

Police were alerted to a suspicious package at the North Street Parking Garage just before 4 p.m. Wednesday, according to a social media post from the Bethlehem Police Department.

A safety perimeter was put into place, and the Bethlehem fire Department’s bomb squad was called in to evaluate the package, city police said…
