Pennsylvania troopers hiding in construction vehicles for Turnpike traffic blitz in April

Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) will be concealing themselves inside construction vehicles while taking part in a Pennsylvania Turnpike (PA Turnpike) enforcement detail this month.

For the month of April, PSP and the PA Turnpike are teaming up for ‘Operation Orange Squeeze,’ a work zone safety initiative that involves troopers sitting in construction vehicles in order to monitor traffic for unsafe behaviors like speeding and distracted driving.

Operation Orange Squeeze details have been taking place in Pennsylvania for almost a decade. During an April 2023 Operation Orange Squeeze effort, troopers issued more than 430 citations and nearly 400 warnings.
