A gunman involved in a crash shot a police officer in the shoulder, leading to a standoff in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, that lasted for hours Sunday evening, officials said.
Pottstown police first responded to a crash on Beech and North Mount Vernon streets at 5:06 p.m., according to investigators.
