Ronald Milhimes Dies After Oxford Township Welding Fire

Ronald L. Milhimes was operating a welding torch in his garage at his home in Oxford Township when it erupted in a flash fire around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025, officials said.

Milhimes suffered full-thickness burns covering 25 to 30 percent of his lower body, according to the coroner’s office. He was hospitalized at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, where he was pronounced dead at 7:50 a.m. on April 8.

His cause of death was ruled complications of burn injuries, and the manner of death was determined to be accidental, officials said…
