Slate Belt business, at 10th anniversary, marks a milestone in reviving a decrepit 100-year-old farm building

More than 10 years ago, a former farm store complex that included a feed mill for livestock sitting in northern Northampton County looked rough.

“The place was a wreck,” said Marc Blau of the Slate Belt Heritage Center, of the unique, Quonset hut-style structure in the shape of a cut-off barrel. It and the surrounding property became “an eyesore in the community,” he said.
