Allentown seeks $12M to improve city streets, intersections

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Allentown City Council approved two grant submission requests involving streets Wednesday night at city hall.

The first involves the Automated Red Light Enforcement grant to “improve safety and reduce crashes at high-risk intersections along the High Injury Network.” The money will be spent on “enhancing pedestrian safety, promoting alternative transportation and reducing traffic-related injuries and fatalities.”
