Allentown installs naloxone boxes to combat opioid overdoses

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Allentown Health Bureau announced it has installed two naloxone pole boxes to help save lives and respond to the opioid crisis.

Naloxone is a safe, life-saving medication that reverses the effects of opioid overdoses.

The City of Allentown says the locations have been chosen based on data identifying high-need areas.

The pole boxes are located at:

  • 9th & Linden St (SW corner)
  • 7th & Chew St
