BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Aqua Pennsylvania has secured $17.35 million in state funding through the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) to upgrade water infrastructure across several counties.
The funds include $15.05 million to install PFAS treatment systems at community well sites in New Britain Borough (Bucks County), East Marlborough, Franklin, West Brandywine, and West Whiteland Townships (Chester County), and White Haven Borough (Luzerne County) — serving more than 5,800 residents.
An additional $2.3 million will replace over 200 lead service lines in Bristol Borough, Bucks County, starting June 2025. According to Aqua Pennsylvania President Marc Lucca, the funding “will help mitigate impacts to our customers.” Construction on PFAS systems is expected to wrap by late 2026.
