Chester County man who attended rally armed had homemade IEDs at house, police say

When Chester County law enforcement officers searched the East Whiteland home of Kevin Joseph Krebs on Monday, they didn’t know exactly what they would find.

But what they uncovered inside the modest suburban home was enough to bring out the Montgomery County Bomb Disposal Unit and land Krebs — an otherwise seemingly peaceful man with a knack for computer repairs — in a Chester County Prison cell without bail.

Authorities had already connected Krebs with items that gave them pause — in addition to the loaded gun, bayonet, ammunition and pepper spray they had taken from him as he walked to a “No Kings” protest rally on June 14 outside the Historic Chester County Courthouse on North High Street in the center of the borough and which drew their attention to him…
