Spring City man convicted of first-degree murder in fatal 2023 shooting

WEST CHESTER, Pa. — A Chester County jury has found Quinzell Mickey guilty of first-degree murder and a firearms offense in the 2023 shooting death of 33-year-old William Stafford, officials announced Friday.

The verdict follows a week-long trial in which prosecutors presented evidence that Mickey fatally shot Stafford on April 15, 2023, before fleeing the scene. Authorities said Mickey remained at large for several months before he was taken into custody.
