Man charged after slashing woman during disturbance following crash in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A 27-year-old man is facing multiple charges after allegedly slashing a woman in the head with a cutting instrument following a vehicle crash and disturbance Friday night in Allentown.

Police responded to the 100 block of West Turner Street around 9:30 p.m. for a report of a motor vehicle accident. On arrival, officers were directed to a nearby residence where they located an adult female victim with a slash wound to her head. First aid was provided, and she was transported to a nearby hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

According to the victim and a witness, the incident began when the male driver of a sedan struck a parked car and attempted to flee the scene. When confronted, a verbal dispute broke out.
