DEP issues Code Orange day for central, southeastern Pennsylvania

(WHTM) — Monday will be a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for much of the Midstate, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) announced Saturday.

The alert applies to Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, and York counties in our area, as well as the Lehigh Valley, Reading, and the Philadelphia metro area on Monday ,June 23.

DEP says the weather pattern expected to bring temperatures in the mid to upper 90’s will also lead to significant ozone concentrations in the air…
