Lehigh County man accused of raping, giving drugs to teen faces alleged victim in court

WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – A Whitehall man, accused of raping an underage girl for years, had to face his alleged victim Monday in court.

52-year-old Kevin Esterly sat across the courtroom in his preliminary hearing from the woman he’s accused of abusing for years. That woman is now 23 years old, but she said she has known Esterly since she was 8 when they met at church. He was her best friends’ stepfather, and the victim ended up spending a lot of time at the Esterly home.

She said he would often give her alcohol, and she said one night when she was 12 years old, Esterly snuck over to her bed after everyone else had gone to sleep and molested her. She said that continued almost every time she visited the Esterly home, eventually progressing to him raping her. She said the abuse continued for years, and when she got older, she said Esterly started giving her methamphetamine…
