Two men rescued from cherry picker after electrocution

At 11:07AM Wednesday July 9, 2025 Allentown Fire and EMS responded to a rescue assignment at North 12th Street and Webster Street for two men electrocuted in a cherry picker. The men were operating 4 stories up between the building and utility lines. The cherry picker was placed on the sidewalk. At some point, the bucket came in contact with the power lines.

Allentown firefighters conducted the high angle rescue to remove the two men from the bucket. At 12:33PM both men were extricated. One of the workers had burns and was in critical condition. The other worker had minor injuries. All photos and video by Mike Nester of NVP Media…..
