Eastern Pennsylvania at risk for heavy rain, local flash floods, & severe storms Monday July 14 2025

Heavy Rains, Flash Flooding, Severe Thunderstorms Possible Across The Entire Eastern Half of Pennsylvania Including Philadelphia, Allentown, Scranton, & Harrisburg

We have quite a bit happening today. First off nothing much is on the radars this morning however this will change this afternoon and evening as thunderstorms are forecast to develop around midday and then crawl eastward across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The main emphases today is going to be the risks for heavy rain and flash flooding.

Flood watches are up and they cover much of Eastern Pennsylvania to Southern New England and areas either side to the north and south. Rainfall amounts are going to vary widely and a lot depends on where storms form and how slow they move. This puts us in a place where rainfall amounts could certainly reach a couple of inches but we also have potential for double that amount or more for any storms that sit over one area for a long period of time.
