The average renter in Bucks County makes approximately $16.53 an hour, but needs more than double that wage to afford a two-bedroom apartment anywhere in the Philadelphia Metro Area.
This is according to the National Low Income Housing Coalition, a nonprofit focused on fair housing. The group’s 2025 “Out Of Reach” report examining what it takes to afford rent across counties in all 50 states estimates that Bucks Countians would need to earn $34.65 per hour to keep area rents at 30% of their income.
