Should Pa. allow semiautomatic rifles for big-game hunting?

An AR-15 and AK-47 were among the rifles broken out for some target practice last week at the shooting range at State Game Lands 205 in Lehigh County.

While both can make for an enjoyable time zeroing in on the range’s rifle targets 25, 50 and 100 yards away, neither is permitted for hunting game like white-tailed deer, black bear and elk in Pennsylvania.
