Lehigh County commissioner has no plans to resign following arrest, he says

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Support for Lehigh County Commissioner Zach Cole-Borghi overflowed Wednesday night from both his fellow commissioners and members of the public.

Late last month, Cole-Borghi was arrested on drug charges as part of a three-year, multi-state investigation that resulted in 22 arrests. He was taken into custody at his Bethlehem City Hall office, where he also served as the city’s right-to-know officer, by the Lehigh County Drug Task Force with assistance from Bethlehem Police and other agencies.

The Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office charged him with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. Authorities have not yet detailed his specific alleged role in the operation…
