RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — State Police in Franklin say an Emlenton woman is facing criminal charges for allegedly breaking into the Richland Township building.
Court documents indicate that PSP Franklin filed the following criminal charges against 47-year-old Angela F. Strauser, of Emlenton, on August 25, 2025, in Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey’s office:
- Criminal trespass, breaking into a structure, Felony 2
- Defiant trespass after actual communication to leave, Misdemeanor 3
- Criminal mischief damage to property, Misdemeanor 2
- Disorderly conduct creating a hazardous or physically offensive condition, Misdemeanor 3
According to the criminal complaint, on August 25, 2025, Trooper Joshua Kirwin was dispatched after township officials reported a break-in at the Richland Township building. The complaint states a township supervisor told investigators he had seen Strauser at the building earlier in the night and directed her to leave. When he returned to work later, he reportedly found the front door window broken and Strauser inside the building.
Police say they arrived to find Strauser exiting the building with the supervisor. According to the complaint, she was carrying a flashlight that appeared to have blood on it and had cuts on her hand. The trooper noted those injuries were consistent with breaking glass to enter.
