READINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County – A rider was airlifted to a trauma center Sunday after being thrown from a horse, which then fell on top of them at the Bouman Stickney Farmstead, police said.
The Readington Township Police Department said officers were dispatched at about 12:30 p.m. for a report of an injured equestrian. Responding officers determined the rider had been thrown from the horse, which then fell on top of them, causing significant but non-life-threatening injuries.
The Whitehouse Rescue Squad and the Hunterdon Medical Center Mobile Intensive Care Unit provided immediate medical care at the scene. Due to the severity of the injuries, the New Jersey State Police NorthSTAR medical helicopter transported the victim to a local trauma center for advanced treatment…
