Easton district responds to Keegan remarks, says outcome won’t be discussed publicly

EASTON, Pa. — Easton Area School District officials issued a public statement Saturday addressing demands for disciplinary action against school nursing supervisor Kelly Keegan over social media posts she allegedly made about conservative activist Charlie Kirk following his assassination.

A post widely attributed to Keegan, who also serves on Northampton County Council, called Kirk a “monster” and said “his wife and kids are better off without him as is the rest of the world.”

In a statement posted Saturday on the district’s website, Superintendent Tracy Piazza and school board President Jodi Hess said the comments do not reflect the district’s “core beliefs and values.”…
