U.S. Army activates new contract at Mack Defense

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Dozens of heavy-duty dump trucks destined for the United States military will soon be rolling off the Mack Trucks assembly line in Allentown.

The U.S. Army has placed an order for 86 of the company’s M917A3 trucks, Mack said. It’s part of a larger, five-year $221.8 million dollar contract awarded in June, under which Mack will provide up to 450 of the big trucks to the military.
