Allentown schools lockdown: Police activity prompts security measures at 2 schools

Police activity in the neighborhood of two Allentown schools prompted lockdowns Tuesday morning, district officials said.

Melissa Reese, Allentown School District spokeswoman, told lehighvalleylive.com the lockdowns were at William Allen High School, 106 N. 17th St., and Francis D. Raub Middle School, 102 S. St. Cloud St.

The lockdowns began around 10:30 a.m. with the high school lasting about an hour and a half and the middle school lasting about an hour. All parents were notified at the start and end of each lockdown, Reese said…
