NORRISTOWN — A Norristown teenager charged as an adult for allegedly participating in the gunshot slaying of a borough man during an altercation linked to a rivalry between two homegrown gangs wants a judge to transfer his case to juvenile court.
Kaleem Naseer Roland, 16, of the 300 block of East Moore Street, through his lawyer, filed papers in Montgomery County Court to decertify his case to the county’s juvenile court, where potential punishments are less harsh and the focus is more on rehabilitation and treatment.
