LANSDALE, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Security is ramped up at North Penn High School on Wednesday after police said a student brought a firearm to campus the day before.
In a letter to the school community, Superintendent Todd Bauer said police learned that a student may have had a gun on campus while they were investigating him “for a different criminal offense” off school grounds.
When police officers arrived at the school, security personnel had the student in the security office. The 16-year-old was in possession of a 9mm handgun, and he was taken into police custody…
