NORRISTOWN — An Upper Pottsgrove Township man is serving a stint behind bars for strangling a girlfriend during a domestic-related incident.
Ryan Joshua Phillips, 38, of the 900 block of Willow Street, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 11½-to-23-months in the county jail after he pleaded guilty to a felony charge of strangulation in connection with the November 2024 incident that occurred at the Willow Street residence.
Judge Thomas M. DelRicci, who accepted a plea agreement in the case, said Phillips must serve the first 90 days behind bars and the remainder of the sentence under house arrest.
