Upper Southampton ‘road rage’ incident results in woman’s aggravated assault charge

A Perkasie woman is accused of intentionally striking another woman with her SUV following a road rage incident in Upper Southampton on Nov. 4.

Upper Southampton police allege that 64-year-old Linda Eckert and the victim both pulled into a gas station in the 10 block of Street Road shortly after 11:30 a.m. oNov. 4 after a dispute that police characterized as “road rage,” according to an affidavit.

The victim told police she had pulled into the gas station to make a purchase when she saw the woman driving a black Ford Escape pumping gas and recognized her as the woman she had just had an altercation with, the affidavit said…
