ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The herd of bison at Lehigh Valley Zoo will see some changes, with some of the animals saying goodbye to the grassy fields of North Whitehall Township.
The Lehigh County Board of Commissioners on Wednesday approved a measure allowing the Lehigh Valley Zoo to donate four male bison to the Wildlife Restoration Foundation for transfer to a tribe in the InterTribal Buffalo Council. The move supports tribal conservation efforts and helps maintain healthy genetics in the Trexler Nature Preserve herd.
