The National Weather Service has placed the entire region under a Wind Advisory in effect from late Sunday morning through Sunday evening for the potential of west winds gusting up to 40mph. A few higher elevation spots may potentially see gusts up to 45 or 50mph.
The gusty winds will be coming in the wake of a strong cold front that will move offshore first thing Sunday morning. Strong winds will gradually develop during the morning hours, then likely peak during the afternoon to early evening hours before gradually diminishing Sunday night.
These strong wind gusts may cause minor tree damage and blow around unsecured items outdoors. Isolated power outages will be possible…
